Serving Polk County, North Carolina

Jim Nagi, LCSW, LISW

Director & Therapist

With over 30 years post-masters Clinical and Administrative Social Work experience, Jim Nagi offers solution-based therapy to individuals, couples and families. Solution-focused therapy is a type of “talk therapy” that centers around identifying what a client wants to achieve rather than on the problem that prompted him or her to seek counseling. This proactive approach to clinical therapy helps clients move more quickly toward a solution. Mr. Nagi works with clients in the outpatient setting at Polk Wellness Center, but is also available for home-based therapy sessions especially for families. As Director, Mr. Nagi supervises all staff and works closely with the Clinical Director and Medical Director to develop services at Polk Wellness Center.

Cheryl Flynn PA-C

Family Medicine Clinic

Cherie Flynn, our Physician Assistant,  is excited to join Polk Wellness Center and become immersed in the community.  She previously worked in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) in a small town on the coast of Maine, though she claims the Cajun state of Louisiana as home.  In addition to seeing patients full time in the clinic, she has been awarded  a scholarship to attend a Behavioral Health Intensive Program offered by the medical faculty at Duke University over the course of the next year. This advanced training will further benefit our patients as the staff at Polk Wellness embrace the integrative model of health care that addresses  both the physical and emotional well being of those we serve. We believe we fill a unique niche in our community and we invite you to consider us as you look for a clinic that offers health care and counseling services
